Go Big or Go Home
It seems like the phrase "Go Big or Go Home" has been poking my life an awful lot lately. I'm not sure why I even noticed, but those of you who are familiar with my work, know that I don't have a problem with large scale when it comes to my designs. Such is the case in the Bold Bijoux necklace. This design all started with the big, voluptuous center gem...the fat oval shaped and beautifully faceted whiskey quartz. I was playing around with the rest of my gems trying to find a combination that I like and this is what I came up with. I love the way the colors are an unusual mix, but it all works.
The beauty of a long design like this is that when worn with a plunging neckline, it adds just the right accent and really directs the eye up and down. If you don't wear plunging necklines, but still want to get the benefit of the vertical line, you can create one by wearing this necklace over a jewel neckline or even higher turtleneck. Either way, it is a real fasion forward statement making accessory.
