My bead soup package arrived from Christi who writes the blog - 2 if By Sea . I love the color mix of ruby crystals, silver fluted rounds, silver pearls and fossil jasper focal bead.

Happy New Year & Bead Soup party

Happy 2010 everyone! I'm excited for all the possibilities this new decade opens up and looking forward to all the new experiences it will bring.

One of the new experiences I will be trying out right away is a Bead Soup Party being hosted by my talented jewelry making friend, Lori Anderson on her blog Pretty Things.

By participating, I will exchange a "party pack" (set of supplies to make a necklace) with another jewelry artist. I'll make up a design using the elements in my party pack and post a picture of the results here.

I love the idea of this challenge becuase one of of my new year's resolutions is to explore my creativity more and this sounds like a fun way to accomplish that. Check back on Feb. 1 to see what I have made :)
